Impact stories that give every pet owner Hope.
Gunner is a German Shepherd that was getting weaker due to Degenerative Myelopathy. He was measured and fit in an Eddie’s Wheels cart which allowed him to continue pheasant hunting with his owner!
Griffen is a young St. Bernard who was struggling with mobility due to hip and elbow issues. His owner learned techniques to manage his pain at home and now he takes longer walks than he ever has!
Georgie is a big bullmastiff and her healing was simply amazing. We will always be grateful to Kelsey for her love, caring and support through Georgie’s rehabilitation of her two ACL surgeries. Every week at her appt. she would sit and stare down the hall waiting to see Kelsey and try to run to get to her. She adored her visits with her. Kelsey was so patient, loving and caring with her. She made every part of her recovery easier for me knowing she was in the best most knowledgeable hands ever. Kelsey is a wealth of knowledge in the dog world—not only in her rehabilitation but also canine nutrition and holistic alternatives. She is a wealth of knowledge! Georgie’s healing was a great success and all Kelsey’s support thru those weeks I will never forget. She’s such a beautiful person doing what she loves and helping these dogs is definately her calling…they all adore her and we were blessed to have had her help us through both of these difficult surgeries. Thank you Kelsey! Your therapy helped her get back to chasing squirrels again and she now runs circles around her brother.
Sadie was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy and her owners started her in a rehabilitation program very soon after diagnosis. She was able to maintain her strength and function for quite some time and we utilized manual therapy and laser to keep the other parts of her body comfortable as her back end got weaker.
Kelsey adopted Sheriff when he was 2 years old. Soon after, he started limping on a back leg. The limping would come and go but eventually became consistent and worsened. After many vet visits and opinions, Kelsey decided it was in Sheriff’s best interest to undergo surgery due to his torn cruciate ligament. Sheriff was enrolled in a rehabilitation program and began to get stronger and was able to take progressively longer walks. Kelsey worked with him at home on range of motion and exercises (though he was a little bit stubborn!). Sheriff made slow but steady progress in rehabilitation and eventually got cleared by the surgeon to return to full activity! Unfortunately, shortly following his release to full activity, Sheriff tore his other cruciate ligament while getting up from laying down. He had his second surgery soon after, again followed by a long course of rehabilitation. He seemed to bounce back a little faster after the second surgery and soon enough was running at the dog park again! Sheriff is now 14 years old; he is slowing down in the last year but he maintained his strength and function throughout the years. Kelsey believes this is due to successful surgeries, rehabilitation after surgery and a long term home maintenance plan.
